Indie sacramento- May 2nd, 2009

It's already been just over a month since I traveled over the hill to Sacramento escorted by Ben (age 8) and Eric (age 31), the two finest, most low-maintenance introverts one could ever be accompanied by. Coincidentally, one of the photos the photographer grabbed was of Eric manning the booth, while I was fluttering around salavating over all of the amazing handmade goods.
This fair did two things for me. It gave me an inexpensive alternative to the craft fairs that cost ($250-$350). The second, is that it encouraged me to do more of them (the inexpensive ones). I made over $250, which covered my expense, gas, supplies, etc, and gave me a little left over to order some cute business cards from Moo.com. Slowly but surely I am building this business.
This summer I have pulled my Paisley Ann Home goods out of the local boutiques so that I might have enough inventory for all of the shows I will be doing, all of which were precipitated by the Indie Sac. So, thank you Indie Sac! Even in the pouring rain I was lavished upon with many gifts.
As a bonus, I got to do a trade with an amazing girl who makes hair clips. Mine was rather boho with a red feather, delish. Whenever I wear it I get loads of compliments. Eric purchased a lightbulb terrarium, that we are proudly displaying on our windowsill.
